You will have the option to complete a 3- to 7-day food diary, which you can then choose to share with me.

Note: If you decide to take part, following the provided instructions will help ensure the most accurate and useful feedback.

B. Food Analysis Tool: Nutritics

An image of the computer program Nutritics used for food data management

If you choose to complete and share a food diary, I can then use it to provide an optional analysis of your energy, macro, and micronutrient intake. A follow-up may take place if needed, for example to clarify cooking methods or address anything that isn’t clear from your diary.

WHAT IS NUTRITICS?
Nutritics is a nutritional management tool widely used in healthcare, elite sport, universities, and the food industry. Unlike apps such as MyFitnessPal, its database is regulated by registered dietitians, which means you can expect a high level of accuracy.

STEP 5: FEEDBACK

A. Health & Performance Review

Your report highlights variables measured (e.g. heath, strength, flexibility core strength, cardio-respiratory fitness etc.). The data from this initial battery of tests will place us in the position to take goal driven actions. Allowing me to make more informed decisions when it comes to setting your exercise frequency, intensity, volume and several other variables throughout your plan.

B. Nutritics Analysis & Feedback

An image of a Nutritics chart used by a PT for dietary feedback

I will feedback to what you eat and its impact on your health, aesthetics and training in contrast to what you should eat to optimise results

Based on the food diary, I can provide optional feedback on your current eating patterns. This may include how your nutrition is supporting your training, recovery, and overall health, as well as general suggestions for where improvements could be made. The aim is to give you insight and practical ideas, rather than prescriptive or medical advice.

Nutrition and Exercise Review

I currently have Shola 4 times a week for PT and I see him at the end of the week for weekly progress check-ins. I can honestly say out of 5 other personal trainers I have worked with throughout the last 2 years, Shola has been the best. He was able to adapt my training programme when I was injured and helped me stay focused.

My programme was clearly tailored to suit my own needs and goals, he is extremely knowledgeable and the level of communication he gives me is great. Shola is always able to answer any questions I have and is quick to get back to me. Throughout my sessions Shola is very motivational, challenging me in a safe and effective way to make sure I progress every time, as well as keeping me on track outside of our sessions. His detailed approach to training, along with the practical food guidance he provides, has exceeded my expectations. Not only is my diet now more sustainable, it is also enjoyable — I’m never hungry or fatigued, and I feel the strongest I have physically and mentally in years. He worked with me on my food preferences, giving me ideas and advice I could actually stick to in my day-to-day routine.

After our weekly reviews, if needed, he will make adjustments to my programme to keep me on track and getting the best possible results. He presents my progress in a report which makes it very easy to understand and shows how far I’ve come since the start. He has a great eye for detail and always makes sure I’m moving with correct form and good technique before increasing intensity.

He never rushes through anything, always giving plenty of time to complete exercises properly.

Shola is professional and I feel comfortable working with him. I have recommended and will continue to recommend him as a brilliant PT!

STEP 6: Your Plan

A. Nutrition Guidance

You will receive nutritional guidance tailored to your lifestyle assessment, food analysis, and exercise plan. This may include recipe ideas, meal suggestions, and shopping list recommendations designed to support your goals.

Note: Where appropriate, I may provide general information on pre-, in-session, and post-workout nutrition or supplements. This advice is educational in nature and not a substitute for guidance from a registered dietitian or medical professional.

B. Bespoke Exercise Plan

The difference between success and failure is a good plan.

STEP 7: Program Update, Assessments

A. Continuous monitoring and evaluation

An image of Coach Shola conducting a Health and Performance Review with a female client at The Private PT Studio

Continuous monitoring and evaluation is necessary to refresh your focus and motivation, to launch you merrily into the next week or phase of your training.

There will be several strategies in place:

  • A repeat of all initial assessments will be carried out every 4 to 8 weeks.
  • You will receive reports and a follow up each time assessments are carried out.
  • Frequent catch up’s. You can get hold of me by calling or dropping me a text.

B. Program update

Your updated program will be based on the previous process (Step 7A: Continuous monitoring and evaluation). Assessment specific updates will occur anytime an assessment is performed. However general updates will be carried out approximately every 4-5 weeks (i.e. at the beginning of every month).
